The latest issue of the Leadership quarterly (Vol.19:2) is a special issue on multilevel approached to leadership. Building on the last such special issue published more than a decade ago and a recent review article by Yammarino et al, the articles featured in this issue incorporate various views of leaders, followers and their linkages, as well as offering multilevel conceptual and methodological approaches to leadership. Contributions include: an examination of the development of a multidimensional measure and a multi-level assessment of servant leadership; a study of multi-level influences on the emergence and performance of charismatic, ideological and pragmatic leadership; and analysis of multi-level implications of framing leadership perceptions as a dynamic process.
