Entrepreneurial and small business marketing: an introduction

Success The latest issue of the Journal of small business management focuses on entrepreneurial and small business marketing. The contributions in this special issue resulted from papers and reports presented at the 2nd Office Depot Small Business Research Forum. The forum covered topics such as brand management in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the evolution of franchise contracts, effects of entrepreneurial orientation on market orientation, franchisee failure, the role of entrepreneurship in market-driving behaviour and relational governance in franchise systems. The common thread running through the ten papers presented is the recognition that smaller, entrepreneurial ventures face specific marketing challenges due to limited budgets and human resources.

The latest issue of the Journal of small business management can be found in the journals collection located in the library basement.
